History
Barbara was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992. As she lost her hair from chemotherapy she began looking for acceptable headwear. Her search for stylish and appropiate headwear was frustrating to say the least (see About Barbara). She thought that this might be a common occurance among women experiencing hair loss. Chemo Savvy was born in 1993 and since then it has grown steadily.
Philosophy
In the process of providing a service to those who have experienced chemotherapy related hair loss, we will strive to continue growing through catalog and Internet sales, and continue improving our company. Keeping in mind the emotional needs of our customers, we are committed to providing a unique, specialized service to them in a fast and efficient manner. Our inventory will continually be analyzed and upgraded to ensure that it is stylish and designed to make our customers feel beautiful.
While profitability and efficient operations are important, our company's ultimate goal is to make a difference in the lives of women who are experiencing the side effects of chemotherapy. If we can make our customers feel beautiful and restore their self-confidence, then we will have been successful.
