How do I know my credit card number is safe when ordering on line?

We use a “thawte” SSL123 Certificate to provide secure communications. This encrypts all data to and from the site. You will see the “thawte” logo on our site, and can click on it to verify that we are current with our certificate. <top>

What are my options for placing an order?

You may place an order on-line or call our toll free number (1-888-599-3560) using a debit/credit card for payment. You may also mail in an order using a debit/credit card, personal check or money order.

NOTE : Orders placed using a personal check as payment will be delayed 10-14 days for the check to clear. For many years we did not hold checks, but unfortunately a few too many bounced checks forced us to change our policy. <top>

How did you come up with your name?

A friend of ours was telling his 72 year old aunt (a breast cancer survivor) about the business we were starting, but that we hadn’t come up with a name yet. This lovely lady gave us the name. <top>

What wig lines do you carry?

Most of our wigs are Aspen Wigs. We also carry Dream USA, Jon Renau and Henry Margu wigs.

When we first started carrying wigs, we were told by one wig manufacturer’s representative that if we used their wigs and names, we would have to mark them up more than we felt was necessary, so we changed the names. Later, we found out that was not true, but have left the names (we named them after family & friends).

For example, the W08 Marianne is actually Jon Renau’s Allure, the B13 Krystina is Henry Margu’s Layered Band, W11 Marilynn is Aspen Wig’s Bobbi, and W02 Barbara is Dream USA’s Crystal.

Wigs numbered W49 and above have not had their names changed and are the names that the manufacturers use. Feel free to ask about any wig. <top>

What is your return policy?

Do you have a "paper" catalog?

Yes we do. We publish twice a year, spring and fall and send catalogs to hospitals and oncologists. Many of our customers do not have access to a computer, or prefer a color printed version.

Most manufacturers publish spring and fall catalogs for retailers, so we can easily keep up with the latest fashion trends. However, due to the nature of a bi-annual catalog, all sales and specials are listed only on the internet, but they are passed on to catalog customers as well.

We also frequently have new items that weren’t available when we went to press, and these we also add to our web site. <top>

How long before I get my order?

Our normal shipping method is USPS Priority Mail which takes between 2 and 4 days depending on location. This also allows for Saturday delivery. We can ship UPS Ground upon request, but it is more expensive than USPS and typically takes longer. We do have faster (and hence more expensive) shipping methods available.

With the exception of rare instances when we are out of an item, or temporarily out of an item, orders paid by credit card or money order and received by 2:00 pm are shipped the same day we get them.

Do you offer discounts for cancer patients?

No, most of our customers are cancer patients. We do keep our pricing as low as possible as well as having monthly specials.

Local chapters of the American Cancer Society will provide items free of charge that people have donated (typically when they are through with chemo), so check with your local ACS to see what they have to offer. It’s also good to keep them in mind when you no longer need your headwear as this service is a great help to women who don’t have other options. <top>

I noticed that most of your hats do not have a size, how do I know if a hat will fit me?

Most of our hats are for the average size head, which is 21 ½ to 23 inches measured around the hairline. Many of the hats have some type of adjustor, have elastic or contain stretchy fabric that ensures a secure comfortable fit. We also offer a few types of hat sizers to help with a good fit for smaller heads. They are found on the accessories page. <top>
